About Mrs. Johnson
My name is Lauren Johnson, and I am so excited for the year in second grade! I grew up in California, went to undergrad at the University of California San Diego, and graduated with a bachelors in Biological Anthropology and a minor in Environmental Studies. After that, I spent nine years as a park ranger biologist working for the National Park Service in Yosemite and Olympic National Parks. Working in those amazing locations, I had the opportunity to discover my love of education while educating school groups on wildlife in the parks. I transitioned to education and graduated from Antioch University in Seattle with my masters in teaching. I have worked in the Issaquah School District since 2016, and have found that it is a wonderful and supportive community. I LOVE to read and am especially in love with the Harry Potter series! I also love to crochet, hike, camp, ski, and play with my daughter, Emery! I cannot wait to see what this year will bring at Apollo!
